The elements of the 8th main group of the periodic table are called noble gases. They are the elements: Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon and Radon and Ununoctium All noble gases are colourless and odourless, non-flammable and hardly water-soluble gases. They occur atomically instead of molecularly, since they can form almost no chemical compounds. The reason for this is that the energy levels of the atom are complete.
